I cannot name one song of Sean 'Diddy' Combs. I can talk to you all day about classical music or alternative rock. Yes the 90's to early 2000's alternative rock. But I saw this video a while back and it must have been at the start of his producing career. Recognize the t-shirt and basketball shorts. He was there to work.
The video begins him talking with MTV about booking an ad on their show about the release of their album. The person on the other end of the phone call says that they are all full. Sean Combs says,"If so, bump somebody". I guess the person said they would and Sean Combs was pumped!!!!!!!! I don't know how many exclamation marks I can put until it get's annoying.
"I am a savage! I am a savage!! I AM A SAVAGE!! Whatever I want I am going to get. Whatever I want I HAVE to get." Says Sean Combs while throwing things around.
I had to laugh at the next part because he makes sure he actually did hang up the phone. Even to where he pushed down the receiver button to really make sure. How embarrassing if that person did hear him(eye roll).
"What's next, I can't stay **** down. Give me something else. What can't you do? I can do it. I can do ANYTHING."
Then the video shows his manager looking embarrassed that Sean Combs was able to do what his manager was not able to do.
This video is so raw. I love it. I am sure at the start of the meeting, his manager said they didn't get the MTV ad slot because it was already full and Sean Combs was so demotivated, sad, angry or anything else that would put the release of the album at risk. I don't know much about the music industry but if you are trying to release something, you have to create a lot of hype to bring in more sales. But Sean tackled the problem head on and talked to the person in charge and got it DONE!
Getting Panga Solutions going has its ups and downs. Celebrating the small wins and keeping the big picture is what will get us past the slow and sluggish days.
Enjoy
